Universal Connections
Universal Connections is a local youth service based at The Key in East Kilbride, providing support, activities and opportunities for young people in the local community. The service offers a welcoming space where young people can connect with others, take part in activities, access support and develop skills and confidence.
Universal Connections works to support young people to feel included, valued and empowered within their community. It is a valuable local resource for young people looking for advice, support, opportunities or simply a safe and welcoming place to connect.

Adored
Adored is an East Kilbride Mental Health Charity founded in memory of Alex Lindsay, a former Calderglen High School pupil who tragically took his own life in 2018. The charity has been an inspirational support to members of our community, both inside and outside of the school.
Adored, supported by No Limits Coaching, is now providing an opportunity for a group of S3 pupils to receive coaching and mentoring through a planned programme of interventions to support their wellbeing and sense of belonging. This will include a week of wellbeing sessions with follow-up check-ins and a celebration event.
SAMH
SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) is Scotland’s national mental health charity, supporting people across Scotland and working to improve mental health and wellbeing. SAMH provides a wide range of services, including mental health support, community-based programmes, employment support and suicide prevention initiatives.
SAMH also works specifically with children and young people, offering workshops and resources covering areas such as mental health awareness, stress and anxiety, wellbeing, male mental health and exam stress.
SAMH believes that everyone should have access to the support they need and works to reduce stigma around mental health and encourage open conversations.
SAMH provide a variety of workshops for pupils, parents and staff including stress awareness, supporting and listening to my child and more!
The Nook
The Nook is a welcoming and supportive space where young people aged 10+, families and adults can access support with mental health and wellbeing. You’ll be welcomed by a friendly and compassionate team and can have a chat around the Kitchen Table, explore the space or simply take some time to find out more about the support available.
The Nook also supports people who are there for someone else, including friends, family members and colleagues, helping everyone to feel supported and connected.
What does The Nook offer?
Information and resources: Self-help tools, resources and information about different places and people who can help, so you can find the support that best suits you.
Social connections: Wellbeing and healthy behaviour activities like physical activity, mindfulness, art, music and more.
Self-help sessions: Workshops, training courses, life skill programmes and group work, including peer support.
Therapeutic wellbeing activities: Wellbeing coaching that offers practical and emotional support to help develop effective coping strategies using established therapeutic and wellbeing approaches.
Talking therapy: Chat with a trainee psychologist who will use therapeutic approaches to support you, exploring tools and coping strategies for managing mental health. This will include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and person-centred therapy (PCT).
Bookable appointments: There is no need to book a time to come and speak to us, but if you'd feel more comfortable having a pre-arranged meeting time, you can book online at SAMH Connect.
Loaves and Fishes Foodbank
Loaves & Fishes is a local charity supporting individuals and families in East Kilbride who are experiencing poverty, hardship or crisis. They provide practical support, including food parcels, clothing, school uniforms, toiletries and other essential items.
The Greenhills Community Hub provides a welcoming and safe space where people can access support, connect with others and take part in community activities. Loaves & Fishes also offers a space to talk, providing a friendly, non-judgemental environment where people can chat with someone, seek advice and find out about other support available in the local community.
Their aim is to make sure that everyone feels welcome, supported and treated with dignity and kindness.

Money Matters
Money Matters is a free and confidential advice service from South Lanarkshire Council, supporting people with benefits, money and debt. The service can help with checking what benefits you may be entitled to, completing applications, budgeting, managing debt and rent or mortgage arrears, and dealing with the rising cost of living, including energy costs.
Money Matters can also provide support during food or fuel emergencies and help people access the right financial support for their circumstances. The service is available to anyone living in South Lanarkshire, offering friendly and confidential advice without judgement.
