Who is the course for?

Learn life long skills in the repair and maintenance of cycles. Pupils will develop the skills and knowledge to identify both routine and non-routine maintenance or repair tasks required on a cycle. Pupils will use a systematic method of checking the cycle to assist in the identification of faults. Pupils will learn to use their own judgement to make a decision on whether a cycle is safe.

Course Content

Pupils who complete this course will be able to:

Carry out a cycle safety check and identify faults.

Carry out a range of routine maintenance and repair tasks on a cycle.

Carry out a range of less frequent and specialised maintenance and repair tasks on a cycle.
