Youth & Philanthropy Initiative (YPI)
For a number of weeks now, all S3 pupils have been working in groups on projects for the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI). This is a highly respected international educational programme devised to enhance young peoples’ employment skills, develop an awareness of complex social issues and engage with local charities.
The YPI programme culminates in the groups within each class making a sales pitch or presentation for a chosen charity. Successful groups go forward to the school final where they have the opportunity to win £3000 for the charity they represent.
Each student is expected to contribute although it is understood that not all will be required to have a talking part.
The class heats for this year’s YPI will take place in their core RMPS classes during the week beginning 2nd February 2026.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the head of faculty; Mr D. Munn (gw07munnd@glow.sch.uk) or Mrs L. Barrow (gw17barrowl@glow.sch.uk).
