Information for pupils returning to school on Wednesday 16th August 2023

Dear Parent/Carer

We hope you and your family have had a relaxing and we look forward to welcoming our pupils back to Calderglen on Wednesday 16 August.

As part of our revamped Pupil Support structure our new House System will be introduced in the new term. Pupils will receive a welcome message from their new House during the INSET days on Monday and Tuesday that will outline their new House Pupil Support team and new registration class.

To support a smooth transition the arrangements for pupils’ return to school on Wednesday 16 August are as follows;

• S2-S6 pupils should report to their 2022/23 tutor class, where they will be issued with their new timetables. Tutor time will be slightly extended in order to facilitate this. From Thursday 17 August, S2-S6 pupils should attend their new tutor class as per their new timetable.
• S1 pupils should report to the Street area (just as they did on the induction days in June) for enrolment and registration. For the first two weeks of term S1s will leave 5 minutes early from class with their S6 guides. S1 should meet their guides in the Street each morning at 0842 from Thursday 17 August.
