Developing the Young Workforce

Dear Parent/Carer,

I wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Kayleigh Wilson and I was recently appointed to the role of Principal Teacher of Developing the Young Workforce here at Calderglen High School.

I am reaching out to our local community to find out if there are any companies who would be happy to support our students in some capacity. This could include any of the following:

• Attending careers fayres, skills days, or similar.
• Having an input into our curriculum. E.g. setting a task for a group of students and supporting them through it, or judging the best response in the class, or similar.
• Providing site visits, work placement or volunteering opportunities for our senior phase pupils.
• Providing support to our staff through a site visit, training or inputs on careers within your industry to support our staff in giving our students the best advice possible.
