Calderglen High School Young Engineers Club (S1 - S6)
When? - Every Monday after school (3pm - 4pm) and Friday Lunchtime (12:45pm - 1:15pm)
Where? - Technical department E004 (Electronics Room)
Who? Open to all year groups who have an interest in Engineering. Particularly useful for any seniors who are applying to Engineering courses at Colleges/Universities and want to develop knowledge/skills not currently taught in the school curriculum. Also essential for S6 pupils next year picking Higher Engineering Science.
New Topic Starting - Pneumatic Engineering (Air Pressure) using practical equipment to design and program solutions to real life problems. An experience not to be missed.
Other topics in the future will include, Analogue/Digital Electronics, Practical Soldering, Computer Programming, Robotics and Mechanisms & Structures. All hands on learning with hopefully some guest visitors from industry too.
